I bought this as a gift for a picky 18 year old who has "traded" 3 mp3 players this year. He loved it. For the price you just can't beat it. It is a good alternative to the more expensive iPod.

I purchased this Zen to replace by Zen Micro Photo player. I like the look and the feel of this new player. It seems a bit cumbersome at first trying to find your way through the menus but after a few uses it all makes sense. My only complaint is the ease of getting my old files (from the Zen Micro) to this newer player. It seems to me it should be a lot easier than it was. I think it should have also brought over all my playlists but it did not. This is not a deal breaker, but it certainly makes switiching a lot more complicated. Overall, however, the player has great sound and versatility.

Unit is just as good if not better (more likely different) than the original. The newer software is a bit less user friendly (IMO) but again I haven't delved into it too deeply. I love the SD slot, giving this unit virtually infinite storage!

Like the new ZEN, does what it is supposed to and the sound quality is just as good as can be. I never care for the ear buds myself so I bought some Sony Headphones and they work together great.
Messed with the included software for far more time then it was worth, drag & drop works fine, so not sure why I even bothered. Tech support was useless, so the CD is now a coaster, but otherwise this would have been 5 stars across the board.
