Santa brought this for my 8-year-old son, who loves to make Lego movies for You Tube. It was so cool, I was jealous. I ended up negotiating a deal -- I purchased an extra battery and charger in exchange for the ability to borrow the video camera for my own use from time to time. We are both happy with the arrangement. The software loads as soon as you connect the Vado to your computer, and you're off and running with editing and uploading ability. Comment from my son: I wanted a Flip camera, but this is waaaaay better! Added bonuses include HD quality and ability to connect via USB directly to a tv. Highly recommend this great little camera that packs a punch.

Picked this up for my wife to do some quick video shots of the kids. Easy to use,just point and press one button to start recording.
Good points: video quality, ease of use, small compact size.
Bad points: As of March '10 it is not fully compatible with Vista. The software on the unit for video editing does not work with Vista.

I love the size and ease of using the Vado. Its small enough to fit in your pocket and you can record with one thumb press. So its great for birthday parties and DAYTIME outdoor activities.
The downside: It has NO low light capabilities. Everything indoors will be dark and don't even try it outside in even marginal light.
It's cheap and easy to use and works great as long as you know what to expect.

The Vado HD+ is a nice, small and easy to use camcorder. I have used it on 2 trips to record events and scenery. It does a great job with the video, although the audio isn't quite up to the level I would like. Overall, it is a nice piece of equipment for the money.
