It's a base, not something grand, or worth $60...Feb 26, 2014
Grab a micro USB wall charger, a $5 universal adapter kit, and you're set. While it is "cute" to be able to set the speaker on this base, this means that the speaker will be on at all times, even if you mean only to charge it. And, the power port on the base is the same as that on the speaker, so you've just saved yourself 3 seconds of plugging, for $60.
This seems really like a $15 base (it doesn't really DO anything, but alleviate needing to plug in that micro USB cable). But it does work as advertised, and may have some purpose, for someone.
Good accessoryMay 23, 2014

Some people have claimed this to be an unnecessary accessory. I disagree. It is terribly convenient to plop the speaker right down on the base for a charge even if you have to remember to remove the plug on the bottom of the speaker. Besides, it comes with travel adapters as well.
Pricing is obscene.Jul 12, 2015

Excellent product. Exactly as described. Love it, but hate the price.

although how it slots into the speaker itself isnt obvious (u have to remove a cap on the bottom of AXX speaker)..its works beautifully once u figure it out....it would have been nice to get an extra cable for all the other connections u can get out of this thing...

Causes PC to crash, pointless?Aug 05, 2014
By Desiree C
Causes PC to crash (BSOD or equiv) on multiple PCs in our house. On the systems that don't crash, the speaker is not recognized when sitting on the base (but is when directly attached to the same usb cable that was plugged into the base). Useful only as a charging base when plugged into the wall -- it can be used as a bluetooth speaker in this configuration, but not a PC speaker. However, it is relatively pointless as you could just plug the usb plug into the speaker directly instead of the base and achieve the same thing.
