Great Budget Headset--Works with iPhone, too!Jan 27, 2014
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3IC8CG0EMYO3G This Creative Sound Blaster headset records and plays sound surprisingly well for its price range. My favorite feature is that it comes with a single jack for both the mic and the headphones, which means you can plug it into an iPod or iPhone's audio jack to make a video (like the one here), Skype or do Facetime. I tried it with Facetime on an iPhone and was delighted by how clear the person I was talking to sounded as well as how clear I sounded to the person at the other end.
This headset also comes with a USB adaptor, so it can be used in any situation that you might want a USB headset with a mic, for example, when using voice recognition software or playing a game on an XBox.
This headset isn't particularly well built, so I wouldn't expect it to last very long. However, all things considered, I've founded this to be one of the best headsets I've tested in this price range. If you're looking for a budget headset--particularly one to use with an iPod or iPhone for Facetime, Skype or recording video--this is the headset for you.

Works wellNov 12, 2013
It took a little time getting used to using a headset, but now, I find it to be comfortable. The sounds coming through the headset, particularly gaming sounds, are really great. The only problem I've had with it is the microphone keeps coming loose and sometimes falls out. Thus, only 4 stars.

For the price, a very solid headset. (Updated 3 Months after purchase)Jan 08, 2014
I purchased this headset not too long ago off of newegg.com. Overall, the headset is great. It isn't fantastic but it is worth the price if you're looking for a new budget headset.
-Loud & nice sound: the speakers in this thing really crank out a good sound for the price. It isn't incredible quality but Creative did a very nice job when it comes to the sound the headset can produce.
-Construction quality: the headset is made of a durable plastic. Feels solid and sturdy. Microphone does not fall out for me like some others have stated in reviews.
-Downloadable software: the software released by Creative is great with this headset. It allows you to adjust a lot of settings to audio and voice settings to fit your play style
-"360 Degree" Sound: although this headset isn't a 7.1. dolby surround sound, it does have a surround sound option that really does work. (I have only tested this feature in battlefield 4)
Comfort: the ear cups are a bit small for my ears that causes some discomfort after a while.
Noise cancellation: although the microphone is crisp, the noise cancellation isn't the greatest. It picks up some background noise which can be irritating.
With the combination of the price and build quality, I recommend this headset to those who are looking for a budget gaming headset.
EDIT: The left side of the headset continues to work and then randomly stop working. Very frustrating issue that is making me change my mind about future purchases of Creative products. I was willing to give them a chance but they are a let down after 3 months of use. They are still very uncomfortable and now the audio on the left side continues to be weary. If you were thinking about buying this product I would save up a little more for a better brand.

Earcups are too smallDec 30, 2013
By J. Li
I thought these headphones were going to surround my ears and rest on my head (circumaural). Instead, they press directly on your ears (supra-aural). This creates a lot of pressure on my earlobes and after about 30 minutes, I had to take them off because it hurt so much. The sound was quite good and I suppose if you have a small head or a high threshold for pain, you'll enjoy them but they're just not right for me.

Headset is not surround sound as portrayed, merely stereo.Feb 21, 2014
By Joshua N. Petersen
"SBX Pro Studio: Unchain yourself from the limits of 7.1 audio. SBX Surround positions audio in a 360 degree true-to-life sound stage" - This line is EXTREMELY misleading. The headset is only stereo. There is no ability to differentiate between forward-left and back-left that would be expected from 7.1 surround, let alone a forward-left-up vs forward-left-down that would be expected from a full 3D sound headset. Very disappointing. The SBX is merely a software download add-on that in no way replaces surround sound, it merely makes sounds quieter the further way from you they are. The seller quickly refunded me when the manufacture's mis-representation was discovered. I strongly suggest buying from this seller, but not buying this headset from anyone if you're expecting surround sound.
