Great sound and mic . . . until it breaksApr 25, 2012

Ordered mine on 12/21/11. They were fabulous - great sound and mic worked flawlessly . . . until two days ago. They just stopped working altogether - no sound thru headset and no one could hear me talking. Good thing the price is low. I think I'm going to order another set just to see how long they last.

The Draco HS-850 was a headset I've had the pleasure of using in the little time I've had with it.
I ordered this headset on December 11, 2011. Shortly after it was received, I actually kept it unused for a VERY long time (at least two years) in its storage sack in an attempt to keep it in good condition. It was very rarely used during such period and even after I began using it more "often", the best you can say it was still lightly used at most. It was a $75 headset at the time of purchase that I paid only $25 for.
Then around late February 2015, one of the ear cups became detached. As pointed out in the review written by Mark (http://www.amazon.com/review/RAVPGK6EYMOY0/ref=cm_cr_dp_title?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B004ALN1T2), I too noticed the "peg" that was holding the cup to the headband was the culprit. I'm very disappointed at this shoddy build quality and would be way more upset had I paid more.
I advise not purchasing this and instead going for the Monoprice DJ Style Over the Ear headphones. Those are just $20 and are significantly louder than the Dracos. It might not be a headset nor have a volume slider but the Monoprice headphones will last much longer.
great for a while.......Mar 04, 2012
I got this for a friend for Christmas. It broke around the middle of February. Up until then it was an amazing headset for gaming. You could hear people coming from a long ways away. Great for FPS games. The mic was good. I could always hear my friend just fine. Then they broke...... The part where they broke was at the part where they swivel inwards. It is a REALLY CRAPPY hinge design. All they did was have a little plastic knob inserted into a little hole with no reinforcement at all.
If you are looking for a headset that will last then you would be better off looking elsewhere.
Great Headphones for the priceMar 13, 2012
I bought these headphones because of the quality reviews and the fact that they were deeply discounted. I am always looking for the best possible deal. Of course the price was a little under the free shipping criteria so I bought a deeply discounted webcam for only a few dollars more, well under the quoted shipping price for the headphones and figured my wife or son might be interested in using it. So far, the web cam is still in the box but I use, and enjoy the headphones very much. The sound quality is excellent!
Good Headset so farMar 07, 2012
First i use this headset with my ps3 not pc. you ask how with this Virtual 5.1-surround USB 2.0 External Sound Card . it allows me to use the mic with ps3 and sound comes from the headphone jack in my tv. It sounds better than any 0-50 dollar headset ive heard. Mic sound crystal clear and is very loud. the only bad thing is i think the swivle design will break, but im prepared with super glue and gorilla tape
