5This is my third creative device.Jan 15, 2012
By NacHo De la Torre
I was having second thoughts about purchasing this item after I read the reviews, but after thinking about it and remembering the other 2 devices I decided to give it a try. I'm glad of that decision, It's been almost 3 months since I purchased this item and only has frozen once when I try to install an app made for a zio device. There are many free apps on the page loaded in the browser, I'm currently studying engineering and there is even a free graphing calculator, nothing to professional but it helps. The sound is great with the earphones it came with zen, Also on my 5.1 system. The internet it's faster than alot of new phones. The camera is as good as any other on a phone. The video is way better.

It only have one down side, depending on what are you doing the rotative screen can go very slowly or even get stuck.
There are 16 gb on the device, but 4.4 gb are occupied by the software, with the apps and the update, there are 5 gb occupied, wich leave 11 gb free for all you want, it still takes time to use 11 gb.
The thing is I can't help thinking that the 8 gb version only has 3.6 gb of free space, wich I think it's too reduced.

4Needs work but overall decent little deviceDec 28, 2012
By Peter
Below I will list my pros/cons and my likes/dislikes

~ Great picture quality. Not superb but pretty great... DISPLAY RATING 4/5

~ Good external speaker. I like the speakers. Better than my Samsung Galaxy Nexus' speakers BY FAR. Not sure they are better than an iPhone 4S/5S but certainly comparable... EXTERNAL AUDIO RATING 4/5

~ I like the fact that apps are available from online downloads using .apk files. I have a love hate relationship with apps on this device (which I will explain later)... APPS RATING 3/5 (even hesitant for that but I am in a generous mood)

~ Bluetooth. Nuff' said. Not any issues. Whatsoever easy to connect (simple wizard = easy access widget)... BLUETOOTH/PAIRING RATING 5/5

~ Love the button placement... BUTTON EFICIENCY 5/5

~ Locks and freezes a bit more then what I would preffer. I have read some terrifying horror stories online about this device. Let me put your mind at ease and tell you it is not that bad... (Whether it is awful or just once every 2 days it still is a nuisence) Also for the record there is a reset button made for when the device locks up. It is locted under the rubber flap covering the micro-sd card slot. LOCKING ISSUE RATING: 2.5/5

~ The Battery life on this MP4 player is far from good. I probably get 4 hours tops. While connected with bluetooth/wifi and light use 2.5. Heavy use without wifi/bluetooth 2.5, etc, etc. OVERALL BATTERY RATING... 2/5

~ Resistive touch screen. Only one pressure point will be recognized. Not as durable as capacitive. Harder pressure required to trigger a reaction. Not as "smooth" as capacitive. Although for a resistive it is better then most... TOUCHSCREEN RATING 3/5

~ I can not download apps/music directly from th ZiiO Space Market. This is easily fixed by online .apk files = Just not as convenient as I would want it to be... APPS/MUSIC DOWNLOAD RATING 3/5

Overall I would recommend this product to a friend.

3Only MediocreSep 07, 2011

This mp3 player has some major issues. I have had to reset it on numerous occasions, for reasons that have so far escaped my feeble grasp. Moreover, the battery life is inadequate, barely acceptable. Either they should have used a bigger battery, or they should work on power conserving.

The quality of the music is fine - no problems there. The large screen is nice to use, though the resistive touchscreen requires more force than I like. On the other hand, the capacitive touchscreens are too sensitive, so there's no pleasing me in that regard.

Another problem is that the device lost my playlists. Since creating the playlists is a bit awkward and time-consuming, this was a serious annoyance. It's not the end of the world, but it's one more reason why it only gets three stars.

With just a little bit more work, this could have been an excellent product. I feel, however, that it falls short, and that it wasn't really worth the price I paid for it.

5well worth the moneyMay 15, 2012

This MP3 player was defenty worth it. I really enjoy this MP3 player. You can play video and tv shows and what not. You can also get android. the only thing that i can think of that is not good is that it ocassionaly freezes but you just have to press a little button to unfreeze it. But all in all it was worth the money.

5Not a bad piece of machine(ignore other reviews)Jun 01, 2012

This device handles amazingly theirs only a few drawl backs but none that are with a star off the review. The price of this device is amazing.

The bad first
Yes droid takes 4 gigs of the nand.
Yes it's a one touch(not multi)
And finally no, you can't install google play(but who says blackmart doesn't work ;) )

The good, any kinks can be worked out easily.
and space droid takes up, pair it with a 8gb or more sd card.

install other things besides google play to get your apps, if you don't care to be legal, black mart alpha works fine.

does it freeze? I've only had one true freeze up because I left it on my dash while driving, it got hot. Anything is going to foul up if it's hot.

Other thank that, the power button doesn't always engage to unlock, just press it a little harder, it's not a freeze up.

Another thing that helps is force stopping what you don't need running.
Yes the stock player on droid sucks, try winamp or poweramp instead.

Gaming on the device isn't incredibly hard. Just set your extra buttons to the volume instead of the face in the emulator.
All in all it's a great device. I've seen way worse. This is a great entry level droid.

N64 is out of the question. It'll run but barely.
