1What happened to Creative?Jun 01, 2012
By Charles
I used to love my Zen MP3 player. Till the battery died. So I got an identical replacement. And then that one had its battery die within months.
So I now try this latest Zen M100 MP3 player. Dead in the box! My revue of this product? I don't have one. Never got to use it.
All I want is a reliable MP3 player. If anyone knows of one, please let me know.
P.S. Apparently I'm forced to give this product at least one star in order to submit this revue. Who ever reads this, please know I wouldn't give it any stars. It didn't work!

4Cute little gizmo, but be careful Linux usersNov 09, 2011
By Herr Wilhelm "Wil"
At first I was nervous about the use of a touchscreen (I normally can't stand to use them), but the Zen has very simple touchscreen buttons, which is not hard or annoying to use (except when you've forgotten to lock the player). I wish that the player had a "bass boost" option on the Equalizer, but other then that the machine is perfect. I bought the yellow because it matched my headphones (which have since died), and because of that I always seem to know where my mp3 player is. I just kind of wish the whole thing had been yellow, and not just the sides and lights. When using the actual music option, everything works just fine. I have run into several problems with the use of the micro sd function, finding that it freezes and needs reset constantly, but I rate the player highly because I wonder if this is a translation issue between the Linux OS and not the actual player itself. That being said, with a bit of fiddling I have always been able to listen to my music on the card, so if you are a Linux user, be prepared.

3Not quite an ipod, but it will do!Nov 03, 2011
By baKtalKwisecraK
I decided to trade in the 8GB Ipod Nano I had purchased a couple of years ago and purchase the Zen Style M100. It was a cheaper mp3 to start, but it also provided an even cheaper way to increase its capacity. The addition of a micro SD card would allow up to 32 extra GBs than I had with the Nano.

This model does not have the ease-of-use that Ipods do, so starting it up was only slightly more time consuming. On top of that, the micro SD card has yet to work, so I purchased it for nothing. Another problem comes with adding videos. The player requires you to download an extra converter to convert the videos to a format that the Zen can work with. The converter has failed to convert several videos I have that would otherwise have worked perfectly on my ipod. Creating playlists for the Zen is also more of a pain than the ipod.

Although there are several problems/inconveniences, they are all minor and I still find the Zen to be an adequate substitute for an ipod. The player works great and I have not run into any REAL problems. It is a great size especially for traveling.

1Kept freezing up.Nov 11, 2012
By Susan Rohloff
I can't get this thing to work! Have refreshed and reset multiple times and still wont work. During reset the hour glass will spin for several minutes and then just freeze up and can't do anything with it. Bought another cheap Coby to replace the one i had before that lasted 4 years.
