Very disappointing carry-bag that offers virtually no protection or storageJul 23, 2014
By M. Erb
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RFHQB6GEZE5A1 The Creative Sound Blaster Roar speaker is phenomenal.
The Creative Sound Blaster Roar Carry-bag is not.
This is a virtually useless, nylon mesh bag for the Creative Sound Blaster Roar. It has no padding to speak of except for the slighly padded, unsecure pocket that faces the bottom of the speaker. The nylon mesh makes it nearly impossible to see any of the buttons well enough to know what you're pushing. The padded pocket that I mentioned has no closure of any sort and doesn't have enough space to hold the AC charger or cables anyway... so what's the point?
Protection from the elements? Forget it... it's nylon mesh and won't protect your awesome speaker from anything.
It has a nylon shoulder strap and a detachable wrist strap.
You unzip the end piece and slide the speaker into the bag. There is a cutout portion that gives access to the ports and MicroSD card slot.
The only thing this bag has going for it is that you can play your Roar while it is in the bag and the nylon mesh will not adversely affect the sound. But you don't need a bag in order to listen to the speaker, you need a bag to protect the speaker while it's being transported and to possibly be able to hold a few accessories, like an AC charger, AUX in cable and perhaps a USB cable.
If you want something that will actually protect your Roar speaker and give you some secure storage for cables or a power adapter, this is not the bag you want. I can't believe that the same company that made such an incredible speaker also made such a lame carry-bag to go along with it.
Save your money on this one and try to find a more appropriate bag.

A nice bag for carrying the speaker but it doesn't provide a lot of protection!Jul 27, 2014
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RXTNNNFSOB6UX This bag is designed to be an easy way of carrying your new Sound Blaster Roar speaker and not drop it. It is also designed to allow the sound of your music to come out of the bag so you can enjoy it and listen to it without removing it from the bag. It is not a protective case but a method to accommodate a life style of carrying your music with you. I show the bag in my video and it has a zippered end on it that you open up and slide the speaker into the bag. On the back of the bag is a small pocket that is big enough to insert your smart phone into but the pocket is not Velcro sealed so make sure that you do not drop your phone. There is an open slot on the back of the bag that allows you to have easy access to the plug in ports to charge the speaker or to use the other ports or to insert a Micro SD card full of music into the speaker.
The bag has a carry lanyard on it and it also has a shoulder strap that is adjustable. Let's face it the speaker is slippery and moderately heavy (2 ½ pounds) and expensive. This keeps you from easily dropping it and yet you can walk around and listen to your music. It is not designed to be a suitcase that is padded so that the speaker is well protected but impossible to listen to.
The bag could be better. If the pocket on the back had a Velcro closure that in itself would be an improvement. In addition it is hard to see the speaker control buttons through the mesh and until you memorize the locations it is a pain.
This is an excellent speaker and it is the best that I have heard. If you are looking for a padded bag for portability this this is not the bag for you. Please see my video as it explains the bag in details. This does help you a lot to carry the speaker more safely so you don't drop it.
I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation. A review was not promised to the supplier in exchange for the sample but I stated that if I provided a review that it would be fair and honest.

Just One ProblemJul 28, 2014
The Sound Blaster Roar case fits the Sound Blaster Roar like a glove. It comes with a shoulder strap. The mesh material lets the music play through. I don't have to remove it to enjoy my music. There's a pocket on the side allowing me to carry my phone and speaker together. All the ports are exposed to allow easy access for charging, micro SD card, auxiliary cable.
There's only one problem: someone forgot to cut out holes for the controls. Sure, I could press the power button through the mesh. I just have to do it blindly, and the switches are tricky. If I don't have everything memorized (there are quite a number of switches and buttons), I have to take the speaker out of the bag to see what I'm doing.
Perhaps cutting out enough mesh to expose all the control buttons would weaken the bag? At the very least, allow the volume, phone, and power buttons. I would even sacrifice port access for that, since being in the bag means it's on-the-go.
Though it can function as intended (play music while carried in the bag), the function is limited by the design. It can be better.

Yes, it encases your Roar in mesh...Jul 26, 2014
By 35-year Technology Consumer

...but otherwise offers little in the way of protection from either the elements or impact.
The mesh is thin (and there's a cut-away section in the rear for access to ports) and while it is acoustically neutral (as far as I can tell), this does little to protect the Roar speaker from anything but superficial scratching. It fits well, but don't expect it to provide protection from either bad weather or G-forces.
It's a lightweight carrying case...and that's about it.

Does exactly what it advertises - carry/cover and sound - not protection.Aug 18, 2014
Does exactly what it advertises. It never claims to provide protection - it clearly annotates that it is made of mesh for sound purposes. In pointing that out, the cover fits great, and the straps are strongly enforced and secure. There is an accessory pouch for cables etc. I like it alot and it is a custom fit...
