Simple Plug-N-Play Does Its JobOct 24, 2010
By John Perez If all you're looking for is a simple webcam that's just gonna work when you plug it in then here it is. I have a Fujitsu tablet which has 2 microphones but no built in webcam. I ordered this one since it claimed to be plug n play and easy to use and you know what? It is! I currently dual boot Ubuntu and Windows XP and I'm glad to say that this camera works perfectly fine with both operating systems.
Just be aware that this camera has no built in microphone of its own. However, it does come with an ear piece that has a microphone attached to it so that's a plus for those who need one or want to talk a little more privately.

Good for Ubuntu!Nov 27, 2010
By Stop Googling Me It's true! Works out of the box for Ubuntu... and Windows XP. After spending waaaay too much time trying to make a couple of old webcams work on Ubuntu, I decided that it was time to move on. I picked up this webcam, and as the box advertises, it works straight out of the box on Linux. No hassles, no tears, no frustration. It just worked perfectly and made a perfect addition to Skype! I just wish it had a microphone!

Truly Plug-n-Play, no-fuss, no bright light in your face.Nov 12, 2010
By Charlotte I looked at SO many webcams before giving this one a try. I wanted to replace the one I had before because the bright LED lights shining in your face is truly annoying. This is one of the few cameras that did not have LED lights.
Quality of the image: Very good. Ease of use: Excellent. Ease of mounting: Excellent. Everything you need: Included in the box!
All I did was plug this in, and my Skype account recognized it immediately. It is TRULY PLUG-N-PLAY, at least for Windows Vista. It has no on/off switch, so you have to use the program to start it, which it does automatically if you attempt to make a video call or test your camera.
I was also PLEASANTLY SURPRISED to find it came with an earpiece and microphone that was even more comfortable than the one I purchased separately! It's a simple one-sided over-the-ear with the separate pink & green plugs, in-line mic, and very long cord. It sounds a little quiet to the listener on the other end for internet phone calls, which was remedied by holding the mic a little closer to my mouth.
If you want something very inexpensive, no-frills, and super-easy to use, I HIGHLY recommend this little camera! One purchase and you can start making Skype video calls literally right out of the box!

Works on my Mac and PCMar 03, 2011
By Ally I bought this for use with My PowerBook G4 running 10.5.8 and my PC with Windows 7 and worked with both immediately. No spectacular quality, but more than adequate for Skype. Also, it is super small, much smaller than I was expecting.

Works with Mac.Dec 24, 2010
By white cloud After an extensive search, I found this webcam for my Powerbook G4 at a reasonable price. Used it with Skype so far - works well and provides clear image. It would be nice if I could download the software and snap photos/videos etc (currently features only for Windows).
