Creative earphones and micJan 23, 2012
By Marty Great headphones. I enjoyed the quality of the headphones and the mic when attached to my iPhone to listen to music and also to have conversations. I also enjoyed the quality while listening to a NetFlix movie while attached to my MacBook. Great product from a quality company.

Good replacement for Apple earbuds!Feb 05, 2012
By AshBoo My primary use for the HS-730i was as a replacement for my existing Apple iPhone earbuds, so this review will mostly focus on a direct comparison between the two. I have used these headphones at the gym, at work, and walking around town.
The first thing I noticed was that there is a big difference between the Apple earbuds and these Creative in-ear headphones in terms of being able to hear outside sound. I definitely had to have only one bud in while listening to music walking around town as to not fall prey to LA drivers. I don't recommend these for someone who wants both buds in with music at a reasonable volume that still wants to hear people talking to them.
The sound quality is noticeably better than that of the Apple earbuds. There is much more depth of sound and immersion. Less tinny and better bass. I'm not an audiophile (I have been using Apple earbuds almost exclusively since 2006), but it is very clear that these have a bit more thought put in them. Using the mic for calls seems to work just fine - nobody complained when I used the headset to speak to them while doing dishes or walking through town. If your earbuds are going out, I would definitely consider these as a replacement - especially if the prices are comparable.
I use the smallest bud size (it comes with three), and it fits comfortably. At work, I use them for hours at a time and only on occasion (after maybe four hours) I have to take them out for a second. At the gym, they stay in pretty well through a vigorous elliptical extravaganza. I can't say how well they would through jogging, but even on the elliptical they would occasionally start getting loose. Never fell out, though!
One thing that was slightly disappointing was the fact that it came with an adaptor for Skype/iChat, etc. It's a jack that splits the aux side of the headphones to a mic input and headphone jack. Having an older MacbookPro (2006 model running Lion) where these are split into those two inputs, I thought "awesome! I can finally use the mic from an iPhone headphone while video chatting!" Alas, it did not work. The box did mention iChat, so I assume they have tested it on some Macs, but it didn't seem to work with mine. It showed up in the Sound System Prefs as a selectable mic input, but didn't register any sound. Close, but no cigar.
One other small thing that bothered me - no volume control. The mic/button combo on the right earbud wire can only stop/start music, start Siri, or end a call. Standard single button control. Because the Apple earbud comes with volume control, I would assume they would want to include it on something like this, but maybe because they make these compatible with Nokia phones as well, they don't want to include something that wouldn't work on both phones (if that is the case with Nokia phones - I wouldn't really know).
Review in a nutshell: Pros: Better sound than Apple earbuds, fits comfortably Cons: No volume control, PC adaptor may not work on your computer

Waste Of Money!Jan 09, 2011
By PK I bought this item in Dec 2010 as an urgent replacement for another creative ear phones with Mic I lost. My criteria was ear phones with inline mic from Creative (mainly went for brand name).
I regretted buying this the moment I started using this. I realized my folly as there is hardly any reviews for this online.
It has slightly higher bass. But quality of sound overall in not as rich as compared to say, Senhieser CX 300-S which I own (2008 model).
Even for 35 $ (with discount) this is not worth the money. :(
DON'T BUY THIS !
