completely 100% awesome!Jan 09, 2013
By Scott D. Payne
this product is amazing I developed MS IE: multiple sclerosis which affected my eyes and my coordination so hitting the keys reliably was a gamble so I purchased this product because I had a boom mic it works great with Dragon natural speaking which is what I use instead of hitting the keys the mic picks up the smallest amount of sound from you and noise canceling is phenomenal figure before people talking in a room doesn't pick up any of them but picks up everything I say not to mention the sound by playing music or listen the movies the sound is amazing I was using the cheap ones the $10 units and they were breaking within a month this unit is gone on for almost 2 years with no problems no software to install I would recommend this product to anyone needing headphones with mic that fit comfortably on my years in the padding on the upper plastic of the unit makes it so that it does not hurt your head in the in-line controls are very convenient :-)

Microphone was terribleMar 11, 2013
I needed these for a VOIP system for work. I work at home. The sound coming from the ear phones was great, but the microphone hardly worked at all. The setup test that helps you set the volume barely registered that I was speaking, and when I setup voice mail, my greeting wasn't audible. After spending half a day with my co-workers yelling, "What?" I had to return them.
They were also too soundproof for my purposes. If you were listening to music, this would be a plus, but I need to be able to hear what's going on in the house (doorbell, other phone, dogs, etc.) and I couldn't in these. They were also hot and too tight.
I replaced them with a set of Microsoft Lifechat 6000s, and they're perfect. Great sound in and out and a comfortable headset.

Good choice for Skype or gamersApr 11, 2013
By W. Cornett
I bought this headset for use on Skype as a replacement for a Logitech 350 headset that had been accidently over driven, causing damage. At least I think that's what happened as I don't remember them always sounding distorted. The Creative HS-720 has clear transmission coming and going. Voices are very intelligible and while it's not ideal for music it could be used for that. The microphone is noise cancelling so that people on the other end don't hear much background on your end.
The ear muffs reduce outside noise and sit on top of the ear instead of around them. The tension is good enough to keep them in place while not so tight as to be uncomfortable.
The inline on/off switch also has a volume control and a lapel clip and the cord is about seven feet long. The band that goes over the head is padded.

Weak plastic.... Fragile.May 27, 2013
By E. Ferrer
I do not have any complaint with sound quality. Just the durability. I have owned this product for 9 months. Both earphones broke off from head attachment. Now the ear phones are glues in on the head band... and it still works.

Microphone was not loud enoughApr 19, 2013
I use this for skype calls and other voice conferencing. Even after checking all the settings, I would have yell into this mic for anyone to be able to hear me. If the mic had worked properly, I would have liked it much more.
