this product is amazing I developed MS IE: multiple sclerosis which affected my eyes and my coordination so hitting the keys reliably was a gamble so I purchased this product because I had a boom mic it works great with Dragon natural speaking which is what I use instead of hitting the keys the mic picks up the smallest amount of sound from you and noise canceling is phenomenal figure before people talking in a room doesn't pick up any of them but picks up everything I say not to mention the sound by playing music or listen the movies the sound is amazing I was using the cheap ones the $10 units and they were breaking within a month this unit is gone on for almost 2 years with no problems no software to install I would recommend this product to anyone needing headphones with mic that fit comfortably on my years in the padding on the upper plastic of the unit makes it so that it does not hurt your head in the in-line controls are very convenient :-)

I bought this headset for use on Skype as a replacement for a Logitech 350 headset that had been accidently over driven, causing damage. At least I think that's what happened as I don't remember them always sounding distorted. The Creative HS-720 has clear transmission coming and going. Voices are very intelligible and while it's not ideal for music it could be used for that. The microphone is noise cancelling so that people on the other end don't hear much background on your end.
The ear muffs reduce outside noise and sit on top of the ear instead of around them. The tension is good enough to keep them in place while not so tight as to be uncomfortable.
The inline on/off switch also has a volume control and a lapel clip and the cord is about seven feet long. The band that goes over the head is padded.

For the price of this headset, you can not beat the quality, sound and durability. They are more than adequate for my purposes (Dragon Naturally Speaking Software, mild gaming, music and Skype) and are relatively comfortable for extended periods of wear (2-3 hours). The microphone is crystal clear and doesn't pick up light to somewhat moderate outside noises which is really important for Dragon. The USB connection is the way to go and eliminates the need for installation and the only type of headset connection that my computer will use with the Dragon software. Overall, very pleased with this headset!!

They plug into USB and work with little fuss. Perfect for online gaming. Well made and will likely provide years of good use.
