Great sound when paired with the DSxm, but not quite worth the money yetAug 02, 2013
The Creative D5xm is smaller than I thought it would be, which can be a good thing or not depending on your expectations and requirements. I guess it's a good thing for me and it's smaller than the unit it's replacing, but I sort of expected a larger unit with more oomph. It does sound great though. I did buy the Creative DSxm subwoofer, which definitely packs a punch. Overall the combination of using both the D5xm and the DSxm sound great, but not sure they're worth the money. The D5mx looks very sleek and attractive as does the subwoofer. Bluetooth pairing with my iphone was very easy as was linking the speaker and the subwoofer. The iphone app is nice and I like the room calibration feature as well as being able to change the various modes. Well thought out app and overall ecosystem. Just not happy about the price.
Great units though. I want to buy two more D5xms and link them with the party mode for music throughout the house, but I think I'll wait until the price comes down. The value just isn't here yet for this Modular Bluetooth speaker and sub.

Excellent audio reproduction. One sounds better without the Sub-woofer. Two sound better with the Sub.

Great idea, DOES NOT DELIVERJan 01, 2014
I ordered this with great hope, but it did not deliver. The sound quality is average at best, and the Bluetooth streaming did not perform well, even with the Creative Bluetooth Adapter, at about 2 feet distance. Trust me, go with a BOSE system and you will not be disappointed.....

Bad Bluetooth ConnectionSep 15, 2014
By Sam Duplessis
Made an incredibly annoying crackling noise when connected with my cell phone and the sound hurt my ears more than most speakers.
