5Great Product, but not true "Surround Sound" as it's still only a stereo headset. But, that aside, the sound quality is great!Mar 29, 2010
By G. Jones "Celtic Xena"
About the only thing I'd like to see improved is a TRUE "Surround Sound" capability - as in, 2 speakers in each side, so sounds from the front come from the front & those from the rear come from the rear... as it is, they're very responsive, very crisp & clear; the mic works great but while any of the voice-alterations might be fun, for my voice, since it falls into the "furry contralto" category for women, the "male" option sounds too gruff & the "female" option sounds squeaky... but the noise-canceling feature for the mic works fantastic without undue degradation: great for areas w/ lots of noise, & this headset is great when I want to really rock out w/ my music as well as some really intense gaming while not making enemies of those around me! This also works great for keeping my hands clear when doing business while talking, taking calls, etc. One note: the relatively light wire from the left side of the headset to the inline volume control _should_ be clipped to your pocket or lapel, etc. so that it's properly anchored as the wire from the volume control to the USB port is heavier. Other than those few nitpicks, a great product!

5Gaming Headset BarMar 20, 2010
By Sean Bentzen
The quality of this product is unparalelled today. The sound is crisp and the comfort beats anything else out there right now. The integrated microphone is great for in-game chat and all of the nifty effects you can add to your voice through the included software gives it an additional touch of style. I recommend this headset to anyone serious about sound and gaming. The price is well worth it.

4Nice headset, but afraid it's going to breakJul 12, 2010
By Colin Smith
As a long time gamer, I have gone through dozens of headsets! I have to say that these are the most comfortable and the best sounding so far. By best sounding I mean the Headphones and the Mic. Both are clear and deliver great sounding audio. The one drawback I see for these... well two really... One is the seeming flimsiness of the PLASTIC where the head band meets the earphones. This is a weak point on almost every headset I have owned, with the one exception of the Plantronics GameCom. (too hot)

I am constantly treating these with a careful gentleness, hoping they won't break and I will at least get my money out of them... and THAT is very annoying.

Overall, for what is expected, good quality sound and the ability to wear them for those 6, 8 or 10 hour gaming sessions, these are a fine choice.

Ooops, forgot to add the second drawback... damn goofy looking! Who wants a white headset? A doctor maybe?

4Good HeadsetMay 24, 2010
By Justin Green "jstn"
I'll start off by saying the sound quality in this headset is the best I've ever heard. I am an online gamer and I've gone through several different sets trying to find the perfect sound. I've had icemats, bose, sennheisers and this set produced the best quality. The down side to this headset unlike what I've read in other reviews, is the comfort level for me. When I play, I tend to play games for 3-5 hours straight and after the first few hours the top of my ears tend to rub too much and almost feel sore. My bose set I can wear for 10 hours straight and do not have this problem. Also in chat programs such as ventrilo/teamspeak I randomly am told that I sound like a robot and its scratchy for my teammates. Other times they say the sound quality of my mic is great. I may have just received a bad set. Overall its a great headset I would have taken a replacement if they had any available at the time.

5Good for GamingJan 19, 2012
By Melany S. Basaran "1stof4"
It had been a few years since I felt the need to purchase a new headset. I like the USB sound card types as I have on board audio. These are awesome. Light weight and the sound is great. Are they true surround sound? Prlly not but they are comfortable and they do deliver positional sound when gaming. Nobody has complained how I sound when speaking in vent and I hear them fine. They also block outside noise well. Another plus imo is the mic is flexible and has no goofy cover that will eventually come off. I am no audiophile but I do like my music to sound nice when I listen to it, these provide that. The biggest plus is that I can wear them for long periods when gaming with no discomfort.
